Hans Roegele, Designer

Details

Hans Roegele believes that a successful design carries through to the smallest details. A design will be more true if the designer understands the craft required.  As such, Hans Roegele has spent years working with wood and stone. Shown left is an ionic capital he carved to match similiar existing detail in a 19th century midwestern home. At right is a detail from figural ornament. Below is a detail from a walnut cabinet.

Materials

Materials should harmonize with the landscape and their intended purpose. Shown here are insertions in the remnants of an 18th century mill race-way. The landscape, carved for industry,
has been remade into a water-folly. Stones were dry-laid, using fieldstones found on site.
